The GAC is seeking an Associate Commissioner for Communications to lead the conference's public relations, digital media, and statistical operations. This role is essential in amplifying the accomplishments of our student-athletes and providing critical support to our member institutions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic communicator with a deep understanding of NCAA Division II athletics. 

Key Responsibilities
*Public Relations: Direct and execute comprehensive public relations strategies for the conference to enhance the visibility of the GAC, its member institutions, and student-athletes.
*Social Media Management: Oversee, develop, and grow the conference’s official social media channels, ensuring consistent, engaging, and high-quality content.
*Statistical Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between the GAC and the NCAA regarding statistical reporting, compliance, and national rankings.
*Records & Data Management: Accurately maintain all current conference statistics, standings, and historical records.
*Event Operations: Provide on-site media and communications assistance at GAC championships, tournaments, and official conference meetings.  Qualified candidates may also have championship and/or sports oversight responsibilities.
*Campus Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with athletic communications staffs and Sports Information Directors (SIDs) at all member campuses.
*Policy Formulation: Assist in the development, formulation, and implementation of conference-wide communications and media policies.
*Professional Engagement: Actively participate and engage in College Sports Communicators (CSC), the Division II conference office communicators network, and broader NCAA structures to stay current on industry best practices.

* Significant experience in collegiate athletic communications, sports information, or a conference office setting.
* Strong knowledge of NCAA statistical policies, statistical software (e.g., NCAA LiveStats/Genius Sports, PrestoSports), and digital media trends.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
