Position Summary
The Sports Information Assistant serves as an institutional representative for all athletic activities and provides coverage of 16 NAIA varsity sports. This role assists the Sports Information Director in promoting the department and helping manage and maintain statistics, records, and other related materials.
Duties & Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:
Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University’s Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
Assist with the management and maintenance of the athletic department’s website and social media accounts.
Create and distribute game recaps and other promotional materials to the general public.
Produce statistical reports for individual athletes and teams.
Coordinate and assist with game day operations.
Assist with the production of game programs and other printed materials.
Manage and maintain historical records and archives for all intercollegiate athletic programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, sports management, or a related field, preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with sports statistics software, preferred.

Work Environment
Work is typically performed in a typical interior / office work environment.
