Guilford College, a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) located in Greensboro, N.C., is seeking two (2) individuals for the positions of Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications. Enrollment in one of Guilford College’s graduate programs is a requirement of this position.
The Graduate Assistants will assist the Athletic Communications Department in the management of rosters, schedules, statistics, and storylines for all twenty-two Guilford Athletics programs, and will assist in the creation of media content.
The Athletic Communications GAs will be an integral member of the Guilford Athletics Department regarding the planning, and implementation, of athletics content to engage supporters and promote teams and athletes. Additionally, this position will assist the department of compliance, and perform relevant duties regarding game operations and general athletics office support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the management of rosters, schedules, and statistics for all 22 Athletics programs through the NCAA and guilfordquakers.com
Write previews, recaps, and personal interest stories for guilfordquakers.com
Assist in the creation and management of all Guilford Athletics media, including photography, graphics, and video
Assist in the production of live broadcasts for all home competitions
Use social media platforms to enhance the reach of content, and engagement
Report to the Director of Athletics, assist in the planning and execution of Athletics events
Assist Compliance and Athletics Office upon request and other duties as assigned
