Mount Mercy is currently accepting applications for a Sports Information Director to lead the athletic communication efforts of a competitive NAIA athletic program in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Planned start date for this position is March 1, 2024.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
In-game statistical services
maintaining the athletics website
producing and curating digital media content
managing social media accounts
writing and editing
assisting with other promotional materials
media relations
support for game day home contest and special event management
working knowledge of broadcasting software and equipment
nomination of student-athletes for conference and national athletic and academic awards
serving on voting committees for conference and national awards
collaboration with the senior athletics leadership team on the vision and direction of athletic communications, branding, and the creation of an athletics marketing strategic plan.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal communication skills; solid organizational skills; the ability to adapt to a wide range of situations; and the ability to secure, coordinate, train, and supervise sports information support staff.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience within the sports information field
Hands-on experience with statistical programs such as PrestoStats, Stat Crew, Genius
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software or other design/video production software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with the PrestoSports family of products (PrestoWeb, PrestoStats, etc.)
Working knowledge of Production Truck/Hudl streaming software
