The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Communications Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Communications Office, including support and development of public relations initiatives with a heavy emphasis on creating content for social media and FloridaGators.com. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for at least one sport as assigned in addition to assisting with Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Softball, and all other sports as needed. This is a time-limited position to provide practical experience in a working environment. This position has an anticipated start date of January 2024 or sooner.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in a related field
Writing and basic desktop publishing skills*
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Ability to work a non-standard work will which will include nights, weekends, holidays, and some overnight travel (to potential conferences or NCAA championship events)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
