Job Description
The candidate will serve as a full-time member of the Athletics Department's communications staff with primary focus on communications planning, web, electronic and social media; oversees all social media accounts; hires, trains and manages student and freelance social media team; plans and implements departmental communications & social media calendar; creates social media in-game updates, photo galleries, postgame interviews, video board interaction, in-game chats and other opportunities; oversees student-athlete social media training; educates BCAD staff and coaches on social media; serves as liaison with all external departments (including Development, Ticketing & Marketing) to coordinate communications activities; manages the department's website, BCEagles.com, including the site's interface design, content management & daily updates; attendance at home events and selected travel to away events; develops weekly internal communications email for entire BCAD staff; administers communications/media relations activities for one or more Olympic sports; supervises interns & student assistants in coverage of several Olympic sports; participates in home football gameday preparation and operations as needed; participates in all staff meetings, strategy sessions, and assist with overall day-to-day supervision and operation of the Communications office. The position requires the ability to work evenings/weekends on a frequent basis. Some travel is required.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in journalism/communications and a minimum of two years full-time media relations/communications experience required. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of developing effective social media initiatives; background in HTML coding, design and back end web programs.
This position is required to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and institutional rules and regulations.
