The Athletics Communications Coordinator works in conjunction with the Senior Athletics Communications Coordinator (SACC) to serve as the primary communications unit for the intercollegiate athletics department. The Athletics Communications Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics and takes lead work from the SACC. The incumbent works as part of the media relations office for Athletics, managing all athletics communications practices including daily web updates, press releases, printed and digital materials, social media platforms, video, photo, and other multimedia content. The media relations office is also responsible for providing statistical coverage for all athletic events as well as the collection and dissemination of this statistical information.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
Experience working in an NCAA intercollegiate athletic environment producing social media content for publicity use.
Experience with the following software programs: Pixellot, BlueFrame, StatCrew for Basketball, Volleyball and Soccer, SIDEARM and The Automated Scorebook for Baseball and Softball.
Required Education and Experience:
The qualifications for this position are normally obtained through a college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, and three years of related professional or technical experience, such as organizational communications, media, marketing, or public relations.
Time Base: Full-time
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $45,132 - $81,636 per year.
