Ripon College seeks a Sports Information Director. The Director reports to the Director of Athletics and will serve as the strategic planner for all internal and external communication, messaging and storytelling for the program while serving as primary media contact for a nationally recognized program. The position combines significant responsibility for media relations, marketing, & maintenance of Athletics website and its various social media platforms. Additionally the Director will oversee student staff instatistics gathering and reporting requirements of the NCAA.
The position requires superior organizational, oral communication skills, a willingness to work in a team-oriented office and some travel, as well as the willingness to learn various statistical software systems for sports played by the college. The successful candidate will work closely with the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Bachelor’s required; two to three years’ experience preferred.
All offers of employment are contingent on either showing proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID 19 (currently one dose of the Johnson and Johnson or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and boosted) or should community levels deem it necessary be part of COVID-19 surveillance testing
