Assistant & Associate Communications/Sports Info/Media Relations Dir (perm.)
Job Summary: Under general direction, assists with statistics, publications, press releases, website, media and public relations, and ESPN+ streaming for specified sports; maintains compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10, and University rules and regulations; and performs other duties as assigned.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any and/or all of the following:
Provides direct sports information to support several athletics programs; writes and edits press releases, features, blogs, etc.
Updates records and statistics for assigned sports, as required by conference and NCAA deadlines; meets internal and external deadlines for publications, as well as student-athlete and coach special recognition opportunities.
Creates and manages web content including but not limited to online publications, video content, and social media; maintains professional relationships with the media, both at events and through regular correspondence.
Assists game-day event management support for assigned sports.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends
Knowledge of statistical programs including NCAA LiveStats and StatCrew
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field; supplemented with five (5) years of related experience preferred with a collegiate or professional organization.
