The Lebanon Valley College Office of Marketing and Communications seeks an associate director of athletic communications. The associate director provides sports information and athletics communications for Lebanon Valley College’s DIII teams. Part of a highly collaborative, centralized strategic marketing & communications team, the associate director works closely with athletics administrative leadership, coaches, and students to create high-quality, engaging communications that further the College’s brand and create a record of athletes’ accomplishments and legacy at the College. With 26 intercollegiate athletic teams and 40 percent of undergraduates being DIII student-athletes, sports information and athletic communications play a crucial role in the College’s recruitment, fundraising, and alumni engagement successes.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant experience, preferably in a higher education setting, knowledge of relevant software, including Statcrew, NCAA LiveStats, and Adobe Creative Suite, Premier Pro preferred, familiarity with live-streaming software (BlueFrame Production Truck preferred), literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and all social media platforms, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across divisions and departments. Also required is the ability to work primarily evenings and weekends. This is a full time 10-month position that works August 1st through May 31st annually.
